Dr. Demento’s year end countdown of the most requested songs of the year just came out and we are very happy to announce that “Green Eggs and Peas” squeaked onto the countdown at #24. Thank you so much to everyone who requested this song!
You can view the entire countdown and listen to the show online at DrDemento.com.
Coinciding with the release of our brand new puppet video for the track, “Elevator” has returned to Dr. Demento’s monthly countdown of the most requested songs. The sketch was the #8 track for June, 2012!
Big thanks to everyone who requested the song. Let’s keep those requests coming and see if we can’t get it back on the Funny 25 for the year. Last year it came in at #22.
And if you haven’t seen the video yet just see the next post.
Our new album Stupid Cowboy Thing, Volume 2: Additional Squid appears to be doing well with the fans. The week after it debuted the Mad Music Top 20 Revenge show featured 11 of the tracks on the countdown. This week 14 tracks made the top 20 and additional tracks were featured throughout the show.
Then this past weekend Dr. Demento’s monthly Top 10 countdown of the most requested songs of the month came out and “Green Eggs and Peas” was featured at #2!
Thanks so much to everyone who has been requesting our sketches on your favorite comedy show. Please continue to do so! We really appreciate it.

- CIRQUE du SO WHAT?’S 3rd album ”STUPID COWBOY THING – VOLUME 2: ADDITIONAL SQUID” released!
At long last, all of the remaining unreleased material by Cirque du So What is available to the unsuspecting public on our third album ”Stupid Cowboy Thing – Volume 2: Additional Squid”. It’s got more R-rated sketch comedy covering such important issues as abortion, gun control, the Black Eyed Peas, jerks, waffle irons, racism, hentai, the FCC, and of course, tile. You can order the CD now at: http://www.thefump.com/store_release.php?id=98 Do it now, Superhorse commands it.
- “LET’S DO IMPROV!” by Cirque du So What?
Download it now for free at the FuMP: http://www.thefump.com . Back in my formative years as a comedy performer, I had two diametrically opposed schools of thought vying to influence me. The PG-rated ruled and structured improvisation club I worked at, versus the R-rated intentionally offensive dadaist anarchy that ensued when I filmed sketches privately with my close friends. This sketch explores the pros and cons of both, giving a loving hug and a middle finger simultaneously. This track is from our new album “Stupid Cowboy Thing: Volume 2 – Additional Squid”, available now in the FuMP store.

- CIRQUE DU SO WHAT?’s MARSCON 2012 CONCERT
Here’s our concert from MarsCon 2012, as filmed by Jered Perez:
Holy crap, we here at Cirque du So What are really bad at keeping this website up to date with our activities. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
- We released “Stupid Cowboy Thing – Volume 1: GRANDMOTHER!” back in August 2011. It can be purchased at the FuMP Store.
- 4 tracks from “GRANDMOTHER” were posted at the FuMP, you can hear them all for free and purchase them at our FuMP page.
- One of those tracks, “Elevator” was #22 on Dr. Demento’s Funny 25 of 2011.
- On The Mad Music Dementia Top 50 of 2011, “Elevator” was #15, “Group Dynamic Meeting (One More Stupid Day)” was #18, and “200 Minutes of Free Prayer Time” was #20.
- We performed at Con on the Cob in Akron in October 2011, where ShoEboX won an award for a song about his scrotum.
Currently, we are on the verge of releasing our 3rd album, the second part of our second recording weekend sessions, “Stupid Cowboy Thing – Volume 2: Additional Squid”. We’ll be releasing it at MarsCon 2012 in the Twin Cities, March 9-11, 2012. All 4 of us will be performing there individually, and as Cirque du So What? Details can be found at MarsCon.com and MarsConDementia.com. The MarsCon 2012 Dementia Track Fund Raiser album features live CdSW sketches from MarsCon 2011 that were not on the SCTv1 Pre-order album. So you bring the Shasta, and we’ll bring the Superhorse to MarsCon 2012!
CIRQUE DU SO WHAT?’S NEW ALBUM,
“STUPID COWBOY THING – VOLUME 1: GRANDMOTHER!”
NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER, WITH BONUS ALBUM!
Cirque do So What, the sketch comedy super group made up of Devo Spice, the great Luke Ski, Shoebox of Worm Quartet, and Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad, returns with their second album which is so packed full of comedy, insanity, and profanity, that it had to be broken up into two albums.
Stupid Cowboy Thing, Volume 1: GRANDMOTHER! features an hour of hilarious sketches, phony commercials, and bizarre music. The Guess The Context series continues unashamedly, and of course there are appearances by The Tile Guy. There’s also a really inappropriate song that you will find yourself singing at all the wrong times because it will get stuck in your head and will surface and the most inopportune times.
This album also heavily features Carrie Dahlby, Kim Crist, and Sara Trice, and also features a cameo appearance by the lads of Flat 29.
Stupid Cowboy Thing, Volume 1: GRANDMOTHER! is now available as a pre-order. If you pre-order the CD now you will receive the digital version of the album immediately so you don’t have to wait to hear it. Additionally, you will receive a special digital bonus CD with another 40 minutes of sketches, live performance recordings, and outtakes. Once the physical CD of Stupid Cowboy Thing ships the bonus material will no longer be available, so order now!

On June 25th, 2011, Devo Spice, Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad, and the great Luke Ski along with Carrie Dahlby journeyed to Rochester, NY to the home of ShoEboX of Worm Quartet so they could record about 40 more sketches. Once Chris finishes producing them, we’ll be relelasing the second album by Cirque du So What?, accidentally titled "STUPID COWBOY THING". There will be bonus CD of extra material available to those who pre-order the album, visit http://cirquedusowhat.net for forthcoming details. And yes, there will be tile.
The members of Cirque du So What- The Great Luke Ski, Shoebox of Worm Quartet, Devo Spice, and Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad- will all be appearing at Con On The Cob in Hudson Ohio this October and will be performing solo shows throughout the weekend.
As a group, the guys will be putting on a Cirque du So What show Sunday at noon.

Sometimes you just can’t find stuff. Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb! But that aside, Cirque du So What offers up An Amazing New System for finding stuff – it’s called Looking For Things! Luke Ski parlays his real-life frustrations into yet another irresistible thing we must all partake in!! This is from the “Procrastinators of the Apocalypse” sessions and features Sara “Dement1a” Trice as the hapless looker-for-things who Sees The Light, Devo Spice as “Tim” [which means that ShoEboX is here in spirit], Luke Ski as himself in full infomercial glory, and Chris Mezzolesta of Power Salad as the usual TV announcer. Check out more of the group and pick up CDs and T-shirts at http://www.cirquedusowhat.net or http://www.baconnipples.com. OKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
